Swoop Scoop

Pirates are some pretty lucky dudes. Who wouldn’t want to live a carefree life of adventure seeking treasure on the sea? Somehow your seventh pirate-themed birthday with plastic gold coin party favors never quite lived up to your expectations. Rediscover your inner adventurer with today’s Swoop from Tall Ship Red Witch. Choose from the following options:

  • $35 for a BYOB skyline cruise (an $95 value)
  • $35 for a seated yoga sailing cruise Sunday, August 26 at 4 p.m. (a $90 value)
  • $30 for a silent meditation sailing cruise (a $90 value)

Chicago’s only wooden tall ship, the Red Witch is one of the few remaining wooden schooners. Experience incredible city views with a two-and-a-half-hour skyline cruise. The cruise is BYOB, and two glasses of wine or beer are included in your ticket price. You can also feel free to bring aboard a picnic dinner to turn your sailing experience into a complete date or night out with friends. Or, take a break from your busy life with a one hour Kundalini yoga and meditation class on Sunday, August 26 at 4 p.m. The class will incorporate yoga postures, mudras, pranayam, drisdi and mantra. All levels are welcome, and you don’t even need to bring a mat with you. To truly achieve zen, opt for silent meditation sail 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Bring your own food, water, yoga mat or cushion to sit on. Captain Andrew Sadock, a licensed U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton Master Captain, will skillfully steer the Red Witch around Lake Michigan. If you’re up to it, you can even help him hoist the sails and steer for a bit. So Swoop in on today’s deal for a true sailing experience.
